US Virgin Islands

In the caribbean you will find many islands, each better than the last. Like the rest of the islands, the US Virgin Islands are stunning in their own way. Let’s meet some of them, starting with St. Croix.
St. Croix is the largest of the islands. There you will find food, music, and of course, beaches. Some white sand, others with patches of sea grapes growing from, low hanging trees. (They’re edible, if you’re willing.) If you decide to go snorkeling or diving, you will find gorgeous angelfish, friendly dolphins, and the very interesting sea cucumber. If you’re snorkeling, you can find all of these creatures in the largest reef in the caribbean.
What it lacks in size St. John makes up for in nature and history. Two thirds of the island is a national park. The island was originally settled by the Arawak Indians, then colonized by Denmark who started slave ran sugar plantations. The establishment of these plantations called for more slaves which led to one of the largest slave rebellions.
If the history of the island doesn’t entrance you, perhaps you would check out the next island, St. Thomas.
St. Thomas is the most eclectic island of the US Virgin Islands. Just like the others, diving and snorkeling is always an option, along with fine dining restaurants. There are also historical sites, religious sites such as the world’s second oldest synagogue.
Travelers can choose the island that suits their personality, or island hop with one of the charter boat companies.
