St. Vincent and the Grenadines

The group of 32 islands and cays that makes up St.Vincent and the Grenadines is located in the Lesser Antilles in the southern archipelago of the Caribbean. St.Vincent is the largest of the island with an area of 133 square miles and where the capital, Kingstown is located. Kingstown is unique in its architectural beauty from its many arches to its natural beauty in which the oldest botanical garden in the western hemisphere is found.

The Grenadine islands offers travelers great escapes to quiet, white sand beaches for a leisurely day on Bequia, kite-surfing adventures on Union Island, or snorkeling exploration in the Tobago Cays marine park. The islands are ideal for a romantic sunset cruise, or family time, simply island hopping.

June

Canouan Regatta June 6th- 10th2019. Though small is size, the island's Regatta festival is grand in festivities. The highlight being the boat races; however activities such as sports, calypso competitions, street parades/party and beauty pageants.


July

Vincy Mas carnival June 28th - July 9th 2019. Vincy Mas is the takes place at the end of June beginning of July and spread over twelve days every year. This is a cultural festival embraces the essences that is St.Vincent and the Grenadines with of steel pan, masquerade and calypso. There is live entertainment which includes the King and Queen of the Bands, Junior Carnival, the Miss Carnival queen pageant, Steel Band and Calypso competitions and street parades for the entire family.


December

Nine Nights of Lights December 15th-23rd 2019. An incredible way to count down until Christmas. This nightly events includes: Dance, Gospel, Movie, Steel Pan and Calypso Night. Nine Nights of Lights celebrations compliments the National Nine Mornings festival.

Nine Mornings December 16th-24th 2019. This uniquely Vincentian festivity occurs
Nine Mornings before Christmas. Vincentians arise at about 4am and participate in activities that includes sea baths, dances/fetes, bicycle riding and street concerts. In the rural areas, the final morning of the festivity usually ends with a steel band “jump-up”.
