Saraka Festival April 14, 2023 - The River Sallee annual Saraka festival is a much-awaited event that takes place every year on the first Friday following Good Friday. It is renowned for being the biggest, most vibrant, and most authentic celebration of Grenada's African roots. The festival boasts a rich display of local cuisine, dances, and drumming, all of which contribute to its vibrant and lively atmosphere. This year's edition promises to be even better as over 30 houses have already confirmed their participation in the cooking of the food, ensuring a wide variety of culinary delights to be savored by all attendees. Carriacou Maroon & String Band Music Festival - April 28th - 30th 2023. The Carriacou Maroon Music Festival offers visitors the chance to witness the traditional Caribbean practice of a 'maroon' - a celebration offering thanks for the last harvest and asking for good fortune during the upcoming planting season. The three-day festival is marked by traditional songs, dance, food, and other cultural performances.

    Jambalasee Festival August 1, 2023 - JambalaseeGrenadaThis festival is the celebration of the emancipation of slaves. The festivities start with J'ouvert morning, where attendees paint their bodies black. It is a symbol of defiance and liberation to celebrate African ancestors' culture.

  Carriacou Regatta  August 4- 7, 2023 - Since 1965, the Carriacou Regatta has been the Caribbean's longest-running regatta festival. The island of Carriacou is renowned worldwide for its boat-building customs, and the festival is a celebration of the exquisitely crafted boats from Carriacou, mainland Grenada, and nearby islands, competing for both prizes and bragging rights. In addition to the on-water excitement, there are a variety of onshore activities, such as donkey racing, the greasy pole, street parties, and delectable island cuisine.

October

 Corn Festival October 29th 2023 Indigenous to the island of Carriacou, the Corn Festival celebrates the island history through food. This a great family event that allows patrons to sample delicious Grenadian corn delicacies. 

December

   Carriacou Parang Festival December 15 - 17th  2023. The Carriacou offers an immersive experience of traditional culture, encompassing a range of customs such as African Big Drum, Quadrille Dancing, Shakespeare Mas, and many more. The Parang Festival incorporates some of these elements alongside traditional Christmas carols. A distinctive aspect of this event is the competition among parang bands, vying for prizes and bragging rights by performing comical songs that reflect on the island's events of the past year.
