St.Lucia Jazz was cancelled due to COVID-19.
St.Lucia serves as the host island for one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in the Caribbean. The St.Lucia Jazz Festival commenced in 1992, with this year would have marked the 28th anniversary. Last year for the first time St.Lucia Jazz collaborated with the Lincoln Center.
This year’s collaboration was featuring the finest names in modern jazz, performing in intimate venues and public settings, allowing the attendees to take in the Caribbean breeze and St Lucia’s breathtaking landscape.
The lineup from last year’s week long festival featured Christian McBride, Ledisi, Etienne Charles, Russell Hall, Gregory Porter, Dianne Reeves, Catherine Russell, Somi, The Baylor Project, Veronica Swift, and members of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra.
Jazz at Lincoln Center has programmed a stellar lineup for 2020 which will be joined by an equally exciting parade of Caribbean and St Lucian Jazz musicians; thus maintaining the high level of excellence that is St.Lucia Jazz Festival.
