Discovered by the Spaniards in 1505, and later colonized and settled by the English in 1612, Bermuda rest 650 miles east of North Carolina in the Atlantic. The former capital, St. George is one of the earliest English settlements of the New World. It is recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Hamilton has been the capital of Bermuda since 1815.
Bermuda is made up of 181 islands, islets and rocks; fitting 21 square miles (54 sq. km). Most of these are uninhabited, but eight of the larger ones are linked by bridges and one causeway.
Bermuda’s ideal location means it has great climate, and rarely has extreme temperatures. More than just pink sand beaches, Bermuda has many activities for the adventurer and family fun traveler alike.

Bermuda Marathon Weekend January 13 - 15, 2023.
The annual Bermuda Marathon Weekend is ideal for the adventure traveler with activities also for the family. Spanning three days of scenic runs, and events that include festivals, awards ceremonies, and more.

Bermuda Triple Challenge March 17-19th 2023. Three races, 75 obstacles. The Argus Urban Foot Race (3km) is the first of the weekend’s three events. Navigate Bermuda’s oldest streets, while tackling urban inspired obstacles and Crossfit workouts along the way. The second part is the Sun Life Island Challenge(5K-10K) is a picturesque Boot Camp training test, featuring some of Bermuda’s best pink sand beaches, coastal bluffs and nature trails.The final part is the Chubb Royal Challenge(5K) obstacle assault within the confines of the once Royal Navy outpost and safe harbor.

Good Friday Kite Festival April 7th 2023. The annual Good Friday tradition fills the skies over Horseshoe Bay Beach with colorful kites. Various kite related competitions, food and festivities makes it a great family Easter weekend.
Bermuda Agricultural Show April 27th to the 29th 2023. This Agricultural event held for a three-day period at the Botanical Gardens National Park. It currently consists of school exhibitions, floral shows, animal exhibits, and equestrian programs, all related to Bermuda’s agricultural heritage. This year will mark the 80th year of The Agricultural Exhibition.
Harbour Nights - April - September Bermuda's Weekly Summer Street Party is held every Wednesday from 7-10 pm on Front Street. The City of Hamilton’s main drag is closed off to traffic so that you can experience al fresco dining, check out the wares of local artisans, dance along to Bermuda Gombeys, and more. Mix, mingle, and party.
Black Golfers Week April 27 – May 1, 2023 One of the earliest and most vocal advocates for integration in the sport of golf was a Bermudian. A St. George's native, Louis Rafael "Kid" Corbin was the first Black golfer to compete in prestigious tournaments like the Canadian Open, and passionately fought against racism on and off the course.
With such a powerful legacy, it's fitting that the island will celebrate progress and highlight persisting barriers to participation during the Bermuda Black Golfers Week Event.

Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts
Throughout the month of May the Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts transforms Bermuda into a global center for cultural exchange and artistic development. Artists from various disciplines across the world converge to offer a lineup of events tailored to engage a broad range of audience.
The ETE (End-to-End) May 6th, 2023 - The ETE had humble beginnings, originating as a simple fitness challenge between a small group of friends daring each other to walk the length of Bermuda. As the challenge grew in popularity, more individuals joined in the fun, leading to the formalization of the event as a "fun raiser" for charity. Today, thousands of people participate in the ETE every year, choosing to walk, ride, or swim across Bermuda to support local charities. The ETE has become a beloved annual tradition, combining fitness, adventure, and philanthropy in a celebration of community spirit.
Antigua Bermuda Race May 9th, 2023- Organized by the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club in association with Antigua Sailing Week. The oceanic race will start from Fort Charlotte Antigua, just after Antigua Sailing Week. The 935nm (nautical mile) race through the Atlantic Ocean is an approximate 1000-mile journey to Bermuda.
Bermuda Day May 26, 2023. (fourth Friday in May) This national holiday is a fun-filled celebration of culture, highlighted by a parade and a grand finale with the Bermuda Gombeys leading a dance party in the streets of the City of Hamilton. The parade route ends with food stalls, and live performances from Bermuda's best.

Bermuda Heroes Weekend /Carnival in Bermuda June 16-19, 2023.
Friday June 16 Activities includes the best local and international Soca artists and DJs.
Saturday June 17 Raft Up - Carnival is taken to the water by securing a ‘big truck’ on a floating barge to create the biggest party on the Atlantic Ocean! Arrive by land or by water to Shelly Bay to experience soca, sun and the sea like no other event in the world!
Sunday June 18th has events such as breakfast cruises, all-white fetes, steel pan performances in the park, and All-Star concerts featuring celebrity artists, beach parties and more.
Monday June 19th starts at 3 a.m, with J’Ouvert morning. This J’Ouvert party still holds the record for the biggest “Circle of Friends” in the world. Followed by the Parade of Bands on Monday afternoon in their costumes. The exhilarating day on the road will end with live performances by international artists and DJs at the Last Lap event.

Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship July 3 -24 2023 An anglers dream, the pursuit of world record size blue and white marlin draw some of the finest sport-fishing vessels in the Atlantic, Gulf, and Caribbean to Bermuda each summer to compete in the Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship.

Sand Sculpting Competition September 2nd, 2023 - This is a celebration of the end of summer. The annual sand sculpture competition at the award-winning Horseshoe Bay includes categories for children 12 and under, teenagers, families, adults, companies, and tourists.
St. George's Seafood Festival September 16, 2023 - Bermuda's thriving seafood culture will take center stage at the upcoming annual showcase, to be held in the historic town of St. George's. Round The Sound October 8th, 2023 - In 2023, Round the Sound will celebrate its 33rd year as a charity event. It involves swimming around Bermuda's Harrington Sound - a body of water located within the parishes of Hamilton and Smith's . Participant choose from a range of distances, from 0.8km to 10km. This popular event is enjoyed by both locals and visitors who love being in the water, and the playful name reflects the excitement and fun of this unique open-water swim. Bermuda National Trust Christmas Walk-about December 2nd, 2023 - Experience the festive cheer of the holiday season with the Bermuda National Trust's annual Christmas Walk-about in the historic Town of St. George - one of the oldest established towns in the New World. The Annapolis Bermuda Ocean June 7 2024. This race provides a unique combination of inshore and offshore racing through its route down the Chesapeake Bay, across the Gulfstream, and onto Bermuda. It enables many sailors to fulfill a lifelong ambition: a blue water passage to a coral island with white sandy beaches and legendary hospitality.
The Newport Bermuda Race June 21 2024. Every other year, sailing crews compete in a rousing open-ocean race between U.S. and Bermuda waters. This is the race of legends – the classic that turned the sea into a playground and made ocean-racing a sport.
