Aruba Hi-Winds Kite Surfing Windsurfing Tournament May 8 – 13 2024. 
Aruba’s favorable weather makes it ideal for windsurfing. For over 30 years, the largest amateur windsurfing has been held on the island. Along the way, kiteboarding was added to the competition events. This event draws adventure travelers to the island to partake in the windsurfing competition. In addition, In addition, live concerts, beach parties, Hi-Winds Mountain Bike race, fun-run -walk, and hikes also make it a great family event.
The Fisherman’s Huts has been the venue for the Aruba Hi-Winds and Boca Grandi for the kiteboard freestyle competition in recent decades. However, the competition originally took place at Eagle Beach, which was closer to the shoreline and had bigger waves and gustier winds, ensuring spectacular action. In 1991 and 1992, some professional champions even circumnavigated the entire island on their boards, with Björn Dunkerbeck setting a new record time each year.
Over time, the Aruba Hi-Winds has expanded to include other watersports such as kitesurfing, kite foiling, and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Additionally, mountain bike competitions have become a crucial part of the event’s schedule. As a result, the Aruba Hi-Winds has become more appealing to a diverse range of participants.
